1/2007 - Guild member Eduardo Lazo has been accepted to lead the NCECA Topical Discussions forum on "Naked Raku, Current Trends and Challenges" on Thursday, March 15, 2007 from 3:30-5:00 p.m.
If you are attending the NCECA conference in Louisville, please join him in the round table informal group discussion and share your experiences with other participants. Bring your ideas, questions, and successes to this NCECA conference event. Photographic images or actual samples of your work would be helpful and very much appreciated by Eduardo.

Ceramics Monthly has published an article in the
June/July issue by Lee Middleman. Entitled "Hai Kaburi,
Creating Consistent Crusty Wood-fired Results" the article describes a
unique kiln in Goshogawara, Japan. Lee has participated in firing
this kiln, designed and built by master potter Ryoji Matsumiya. In
July, Lee will fire work in this kiln during the Goshogawara Woodfire
Artist-in-Residence Program.

His work has been selected for the 14th Annual Strictly
Functional Pottery National juried by Tom Coleman. The exhbition runs from April 22 to May 21 in Lancaster, Pennsyvania.
