ONGOING SALES PROGRAM

GUIDELINES

 

 

The City of Sunnyvale operates a weekly Farmers' Market on Murphy Street in downtown Sunnyvale each Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  OVCAG invites all members to participate in promoting the Guild and selling your ceramic artwork.  Below are the steps to be followed in order to participate in the weekly sales.

 

1.         Submit photos of your work for preview and acceptance.  Please identify yourself as a member of OVCAG and forward photos of your art to Ron Pardini, Executive Director, Urban Village Farmers' Market Association, Phone:  (510)  745-7100, Fax:  (510)  745-7180, E-mai:l urbanvillage @ earthlink.net, Website:  urbanvillageonline.com.

 

2.         After you are approved to sell, you must call Ron the week of the Market in which you wish to participate in.  Call (510)745-7100 to reserve your space in the requested Farmers' Market. You'll most likely will get voice mail.

 

3.         Leave the following voice message to reserve your space: 

a.         Name

b.         The type of product you make

c.         Name of the Farmers' Market you're requesting (Sunnyvale venue)

d.         Your phone number for return call

 

You will only be contacted if there is a problem (out of space or have the same craft that day, etc).  Otherwise, plan on showing up.

 

4.         Artisans should be at market at least an hour prior to the opening depending on the length of time needed for your set-up.  Artisan booths are typically located at the intersection of  Washington and Murphy Streets.

 

5.         Find the Market Manager who will show you where to set up. 

 

6.         You're permitted a 10'X10'space, and should bring everything you will need to display & be comfortable (canopy or umbrella, tables & chairs, etc).

 

7.         Artisan Booth fee due to Urban Village is $35 for Winter Season, and $40 during the Peak Season (April thru November) and is due prior to your setup at the site.   Urban Village will permit up to two OVCAG artists per booth during each Sunnyvale FarmerŐs Market weekend event.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:     

 

OVCAG PARTICIPATION FEE:                        IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE YOU MUST FIRST REGISTER WITH OVCAG AND PAY A $15 PARTICIPATION FEE FOR EACH SUNNYVALE FARMER'S MARKET EVENT.  THIS FEE WILL COVER RENTAL FEES FOR A 10' x 10' POP UP TENT, A 6' TABLE AND OVCAG BROCHURS AND OVCAG SALES SLIPS TO BE USED DURING YOUR EVENT.

 

PERMIT REQUIREMENT:         EACH ARTISAN IS REQUIRED TO HAVE A CALIFORNIA STATE BOARD OF EQUALIZATION SELLER'S PERMIT IN ORDER TO SELL YOUR CERAMIC ART.  IN THE EVENT YOU DO NOT HAVE A SELLERŐS PERMIT, PLEASE CONTACT JEAN PROPHET AT progressivepots@yahoo.com.  JEAN WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH A ONE-TIME USE OF THE OVCAG SELLERŐS PERMIT AUTHORIZATION.  FOR EACH TRANSACTION, PLEASE CALCULATE THE SALES TAX AND COMPLETE AN OVCAG SALES SLIP.  NO LATER THAN THE WEDNESDAY FOLLOWING YOUR SALE, PLEASE FORWARD ALL SALES SLIPS AND A CHECK FOR THE AMOUNT OF SALES TAX YOU COLLECTED TO JEAN PROPHET SO THAT OVCAG MAY REPORT AND PAY THE REQUISITE SALES TAX FOR YOUR ACTIVITY.

 

BOOTH RENTAL ITEMS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PICK-UP FROM CLAY PLANET ON THE FRIDAY PRIOR TO YOUR SALES EVENT.  PLEASE CONTACT CLAY PLANET TO ARRANGE FOR PICKUP AND RETURN OF THE OVCAG EQUIPMENT.  ALL EQUIPMENT MUST BE RETURNED BY THE CLOSE OF BUSINESS ON THE WEDNESDAY FOLLOWING YOUR EVENT.  PLEASE CONFIRM WITH JEAN PROPHET WHEN YOU HAVE RETURNED THE OVCAG EQUIPMENT.

 

IN ORDER TO ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE, PLEASE REGISTER WITH OVCAG AND PRECLEAR YOUR ARTWORK AT URBAN VILLAGE AT LEAST TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE OF THE EVENT IN WHICH YOU WISH TO PARTICIPATE.  WE EXPECT THIS PROGRAM TO BE POPULAR AND WILL BE ADMINISTERED ON A FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED BASIS.
