This will be a fantastic weekend with a master potter with 36 years of experience! Over 65 groups have been stimulated by his workshops through out the United States, Canada, Australia and Europe. His work has been featured in many books including those by Robin Hopper, Peter Lane, Susan Peterson, Tony Birks and John Nance, and it has appeared in Ceramics Monthly, American Craft Magazine and Clay Times, over and over again. He has written With a Little Help from My Friends and Glazes I Use and is the subject matter of John Nance's book Mud Pie Dilemma.

Refreshments served, Door Prize, Donation (Suggest $5.00) accepted at the door.
Saturday, May 17, 2003, 9 AM - 4 PM
Claymaker, 1240 N. 13th Street, San Jose
Demonstration of throwing techniques to create asymmetrical to geometric forms and an ongoing discussion and demonstration of different decorating techniques. Tom will cover most any subject requested by workshop participants.
Sunday, May 18, 2003, 9 AM - 4 PM
Claymaker, 1240 N. 13th Street, San Jose
Tom will assembly the pieces made the day before and discuss various ways of formulating porcelain clay bodies and slips. Marketing, gallery practices, good photography and making a effective presentation of your work will also be discussed along with Tom’s philosophy on working as a clay artist, developed over the past thirty six years.
