"Ceramics and AI"
Stacie will give a brief intro to using AI and show several sample uses of AI
for potters. This will include:
- Getting typical information about making new pots
- Editing social media posts
- Getting some potter inspiration
- Generating surface design line art or starting points
Examples will be based on output from AI engines such as ChatGPT and
Google Gemini. Stacie will demonstrate how she has used these AI
engines, including how queries were formed and iterated, along with the
corresponding detailed results. She will discuss some pitfalls to watch out
for when using AI (eg., why does a turtle have five legs? Is it realistically
possible to make a pot that is shown as a result of an AI query?), along
with some of the pros and cons of using such services. She will conclude
the session with Q&A.
This is a potluck, please bring a dish to share with the fellow potters. We are looking forward to seeing you there!
If you are unable to attend this meeting in person, we will be live streaming the event. Registration is still required for live streaming and meeting details will be shared with you on the day of the event.
If you are able to join in person, please come join and meet fellow potters.
